The Best Recipes From The Finalists
Georgia's delicious yellow curry was something she grew up eating. It was passed down from her Sri Lankan Nanna and Georgia definitely did her proud. The judges praised her for her skills and she was sent through to the semi-finals!
It was Filo's first time cooking in the MasterChef kitchen and he came out with a lavish, perfectly-cooked, drool-worthy lobster mornay. The judges were obsessed and from the picture alone, we can see why.
Everyone loves a classic dish with a twist, and in the cook-off for Immunity, Carter's honey carrot cake really came through. Showing off his skill and food knowledge, he showed the judges he meant business and won immunity from the next elimination.
When Georgia found out she had to cook with honey, it's safe to say she wasn't a fan. But that didn't stop her from creating a delicious honey trifle which saved her from the first elimination challenge. She's small but mighty in the kitchen!
During a Mystery Box Challenge, Filo created his signature Salted Caramel Apple Pie, a dish that his family LOVES. After trying it, the judges agreed that if he continued to cook that way, he would be in the competition for weeks to come (and they were right!)
These aren't your ordinary brownies. Carter's genius recipe incorporates chocolate and candied beetroot, a flavour combo we'd never expect from a 12-year old. He didn't only impress the judges with the perfectly balanced flavours, but he's made a dish we want to try (seriously, just look at it).
